One piece amber body with a dramatic, curly maple top tainted all black. 

It does look good. But that's after days of tedious hand polishing that gave me sore muscles for a long time. 

I experimented with inlayed fingerboards before with the beat-up tele project, and revisited it here. An exceptional piece of birdseye maple fretboard is inlayed in a flame maple neck with a delicate black veneer in between. With the white mother of pearl inlays, it creates pure luxury in looks... But with this set of Aguilar pickups it also has the sound to match! I felt it was necessary to get a snake skin case for this instrument, I'm sure you'll understand. (No snakes were harmed as far as I know)
